July 4, 2024 - Meg and Maddy flew in last night for the long Fourth of July weekend and we've got a lot planned: dinner at the new RH Indianapolis, sailing, a Fever game, bike riding and lots of games.
Meg loves Rise and Roll Bakery, so first thing on Thursday we hopped on our bikes and rode the 2.5 miles to the bakery
Luckily they had the Carmel covered Boston creme that Meg loves
on our way home
the infamous donut (and a diet coke). Doesn't get much better
Maddy made bagel sandwiches for lunch, yummy!
For dinner we had reservations at the Dining Room in the new Restoration Hardware in Indianapolis. The Linden House, an estate owned by Christel De Haan was bought by RH in 2022 for 14.5 million dollars. She was one of the richest women in the country, a timeshare magnate. She only lived in Linden House for 13 years before her death in 2020.
The 41,000 square foot, seven bedroom, 17 bathroom Palladian estate is on 150 acres of property, with beautiful gardens and lakes.
We enjoyed a glass of wine while walking around the property
There was lots of exploring to do outside and...
inside
It's not very often we get to sit on a $7000 couch
We enjoyed wandering around and finding an interesting spot to sit and enjoy our wine
pretty views out all the windows
a drink by the fireplace
pretty ceiling
I'll take 2 of the chandeliers please
a peek from the second floor down to the Dining Room
a view at the front entrance
I love the lighting in the Dining Room

July 5, 2024 - Today was a rainy day, so we spent the morning playing Wingspan and the afternoon sorting through old clothes and keepsakes of Meg's. By late afternoon the weather had cleared up, so we packed our dinner and headed to Eagle Creek for an evening sail and swim.
We love Wingspan
It's a windy day on the boat
Maddy enjoying the view
dinner and beers
Time to hop in!
Beautiful evening for a float
Time to head back
Some nice sunset views on the trip back to the Sailing Club
July 6, 2024 - Today is the Fever game! They are playing the NY Liberty, which is Meg & Maddy's team, when they aren't playing the Fever. Since it's going to be such a nice day, we decided to ride the 18 miles round trip to the game.
Diet Coke and Coffee on the back deck, before we head to the Fever game
We made it to Gaibridge

Kelsey Mitchell warming up
It's a full house!
Who would have thought they could be the #1 Liberty! And Caitlin got a triple double (double digits points, assists and rebounds). The first for a WNBA rookie
On our ride to the game, Meg got a flat tire. Our spare tube didn't fit Meg's bike. Luckily there was a bike share rack near where had the flat, so Meg hopped on a ride share bike and we kept going. There was another bike rack one block from Gainbridge so it worked perfectly.

Kevin picked up Meg's bike with the flat and rode it beside him the whole way home. He made it look easy, but I doubt that it was.
We decided to stop at the Liter House half way home, to give Kev a break (and we were happy to grab a few beers)
Then we had BBQ at Center Point Brew Pub
And Meg, Maddy and Kevin thought they were basketball players
they played a few games of HORSE
I was pretty impressed with all 3 of them! Meg & Maddy have an early morning flight, so sad to see them go!
