Nov 27, 2025 - It's Thanksgiving, and we're headed to the vineyard for Thanksgiving with Todd and Laurie. Todd's making meatloaf since we will be having Thanksgiving with Laurie's siblings on Saturday and we don't want two days of turkey dinner.
Kev made his pumpkin pie. We'll make an apple pie for Saturday.

Nov 30, 2025 - Today we're going to hike Buchon Point, which is accessed through Montana de Oro SP. It is a trail that is on PG&E property and is only open for hiking on certain days (it's open 8:00AM-4:00 PM Thurs through Mon). When you enter the property you have to sign in with the ranger. It's a 6.6 mile hike out and back, we decided to just go to Windy Point to shave off 1 mile which the ranger said was a good place to turn around, since the last half mile isn't as scenic as it's not on the coast. He said that the power point is visible from Windy Point so we'll just do a 5.5 mile hike rountrip.
We started our hike at 8:45 AM and pretty much had the trail to ourselves

we saw a few poppies on the hike (we'll have to come back in the spring to see the poppies take over)
Windy Point
The Diablo Canyon Power plant in the distance. It was scheduled to be decommissioned in 2025, but it has been extended to 2030.
